Marybeth Darcy is an independent paralegal who has worked with Erica Burten Law since the firm's inception. A graduate of Stony Brook University with a degree in History, she brings extensive experience in family law and civil litigation. With a strong attention to detail and highly organized approach, Marybeth supports clients and attorneys through every stage of a case. Beyond the firm, Marybeth has served in leadership roles with Lauralton Hall and the Fairfield County Bar's Paralegal Section and volunteered with food banks, shelters and domestic violence initiatives.
As a paralegal at Erica Burten Law, Jan Epstein ensures clients feel comfortable and confident throughout their family law matters. She holds a degree in Public Justice from SUNY Oswego and has experience in both law firm and corporate legal settings. Since joining the firm in 2025, Jan has been known for her strong communication, empathy, and attention to detail. She enjoys helping clients navigate important life transitions. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with loved ones.
